    Watch Me Move:The Animation Show

    Barbican until 11 September

From Falling Cats  made by Etienne Jules Moray in 1897 to what I’m sure was an inspiration for Krustie the Clown in the video attached made by Windsor McCay in Little Nemo Moving Comics 1911, the past was just as enamoured with comedy animals and incongruous slapstick comedy as the present.

This exhibition sent me straight to search out more Japanese animation. Give me dystopian urban societies on the brink of nuclear war, violence, corruption and powerplays between human and the not so human anyday over Toy Story!
